What is RGMS?
RGMS is a GNSS time and frequency reference built for military platforms. It houses an SC-cut OCXO disciplined by a GNSS receiver with jamming and spoofing protection, and supplies one common time reference to the radar, navigation and communication systems on a platform.
Which standards is RGMS designed to?
It is designed to meet MIL-STD-810H for environmental conditions, MIL-STD-461H for electromagnetic compatibility and RTCA DO-160G for airborne equipment. Ingress protection is IP65 and materials are RoHS compliant. Compliance statements are design-based; qualification testing has not yet been completed.
What happens if the GNSS signal is lost?
Holdover engages autonomously and the OCXO carries the time reference on its own. Holdover drift over 24 hours is typically under 25 µs, so the platform keeps an uninterrupted time reference while the signal is unavailable.
Which time and frequency outputs does RGMS provide?
It provides 4× 10 MHz, 1× 1PPS, IRIG-B (RS485), 1× RS422/485 (NMEA) and 2× RS232 (NMEA) outputs. Inputs are 2× RS232 (NMEA), 1× RS422/485 (NMEA) and 1× 1PPS. Management runs over Ethernet, which also carries NTP and PTP.
How is the unit powered and mounted?
It runs from a 9–48 VDC wide-range supply or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at); the adapter takes priority and PoE carries the unit if that supply is lost. The 1.4 kg bracket-mounted chassis cools by natural convection and contains no fan. A separate chassis option is available for rack installations.
